Rating: - Such potential - such a shame!
Have had a Tunecast II which worked well but got broken, I immediately thought that version 3 of the product would be an improvement - how wrong can you be? The presets seemed to disappear after powering down, presumably because I did not have a battery installed and just used external power. I could live with that though, it is the constant auto shutdowns that drive me mad! The manual says it will shut down after 10 minutes of no signal, oh no - more like 10 seconds. The odd quiet passage, even ... Read More
Rating: - Really useful little gadget
I was looking for an alternative to the £150 conversion to my car to take an MP3 player. I already have several devices that play MP3s and I'd heard of these FM transmitters. I plumped for the cheapest I could find (the Tunecast 3) to try it out.
In the box you get the Tunecast 3, an in-car 12-volt power lead, a mounting bracket and a manual. You don't really need the manual, the device is quite simple.

Rating: - I would have expected better from belkin
I have recently bought this item on the strength of having used various Belkin products of which I have been delighted with. However, this product falls short of Belkin's usual standard. Firstly, the unit switches off when a song fades in or has a quiet interlude (You can not turn this feature off.) Secondly, The unit emits loud beeps to tell you it's turning off which is really annoying. On the plus side the sound quality isn't bad and the display is pretty too. If it wasn't for the auto off feature ... Read More
Rating: - Really poor..
In general, it's OK when it's working, but the auto-off functionality is hopeless, switching it off when there's music playing through. The volume is transmits the music at is very low, which is a particular nightmare when it goes to switch off, as it emits an extremely loud beep.
All it takes is a quiet song or a gap between songs and it lets out the huge beep and starts shutting down, which you can't prevent.
Rubbish.
Rating: - I've never resorted to HATING a piece of equipment until now
I bought this hoping to find an alternative to the iTrip I was using (which seemed to have such a low signal that I'd end up listening to the FM transmitters of passing traffic), and was told to try the Belkin one. Well, what a hateful little piece of kit this is. The documentation tells you that it will switch itself off after 10 minutes if it receives no signal. Obviously, this only applies to people that listen to 500 BPM hard house, because this thing will issue a deafening BLEEP.... BLEEP BLEEP to ... Read More
