I bought this for use with my Archos 504, to avoid having to use the extra Archos adaptors when I wanted to charge from the mains. I had previously bought a couple of custom USB chargers which both shorted out after a couple of months.
12 months later it's still working fine and does the job nicely. It can run a little warm if left plugged in for long periods but this doesn't appear to cause any problems.
Rating: - Does it actually work?
The charger does not seem to charge my MP3 Player. It does power the player by switching it on once you plug it in, but doesn't actually recharge the battery. Maybe it just isn't compatible with my MP3?? I probably wouldn't recommend buying this.
