Rating: - Good for their purpose
I bought the speakers for using in hotel and chalet rooms and they are great for such small, quiet rooms. They are quiet, but not bad for passive speakers that need no batteries or power adapter. The sound is crisp and clear. They are great for dropping in my hand luggage when travelling and are seriously tough when zipped up. I was a little worried that the zip may catch on the cable and wear it through quite quickly, but other than that, I thought that they were good passive speakers.
Rating: - I can't hear anything!
Absolute rubbish, I can get more volume out of my Sennheiser PX headphones, than I can with these. I tried hooking them up to my CMoy amp, but that didn't help one bit. And why drone on about the build quality (which is worth 5 stars at least) if you can't hear anything? That's why I bought them, because I wanted to hear my ipod...no chance.
And pocket size?? What pocket can they fit into. These things are so chunky when zipped up, I can't get them into any of my pockets!

I bought them for 9.99 and I guess they're ok for that price - I still use ... Read More
Rating: - Barely any sound
The packaging is great and they are eminently portable BUT they are of no use because you can hardly hear the music. Why bother!
Rating: - Too quiet for the Creative Zen
These speakers are very aesthetically pleasing, well designed for travel and may be fine for other stuff, but I consider them worse than useless where the Creative Zen is concerned.
Even when you put the Zen to full volume, the volume from the speakers is well, there's no other word for it - pathetic. I've had passive speakers before but these aren't so much 'passive' as 'comatose'.
The sound quality is good, but it needs to be about 3 times as loud as it is. As it is, it's almost like ... Read More
