Rating: - ok to start, but broke after a few uses
This is a competitively priced product. It is great that it fits to most ipod sizes with adjustable sides to hold it in place. It is however quite big, and if your car adaptor/cigarette lighter is close to your gearstick , it does get in the way when driving. It is easy to tune in, and get started. It worked well for the first couple of times, and then after about a month broke, and will not switch on any more, therefore I believe that it is too flimpsy and the quality is not very good. I would ... Read More
Rating: - Keep your eyes on the road!!!!!
I suppose it depends on what type of car that you have to see how you best get use out of the Logic MIP166K FM Transmitter Dock. In my case the dock is right in the way of the gear stick which makes driving a nuisance . Also because of where the cigarette lighter is on my car the dock keeps on falling out all the time - so not only is driving a nuisance it's dangerous. I know that there are better Ipod transmitter's at a little extra cost but I would seriously think about paying a little more for something ... Read More
Rating: - Not so hot
I've nothing against which to compare this, but if it's better than any others then that's not great. Plus points are that it's easy to use, it fits in my car OK and it hokds my iriver no problems. Bad points are: the volume - you have to turn the radio on loud to hear it, a bit of interference, sound is a bit 'thin', and I can't charge my mp3 and play at the same time - as when I plug in the charger it thinks it's connected to a computer and goes into transfer mode. So it might work OK with Ipods but it isn't ... Read More
Rating: - Much cheaper than the alternatives but not great quality
I'd mostly ditto what the previous reviewer's have said. The technology seems to work fine - the unit seems to transmit and charge fine. I've had problems finding an unused frequency in London but that'll be the same for any products which transmit via radio in a heavily built up area.
Given that the technology bit works fine I found the design of the cradle flawed. The connection from the lighter plug to the main cradle is only jointed so that you can tilt the unit up and down. You can't twist the ... Read More
Rating: - Good piece of kit, full of quality features, but large with it.
First I should say that this piece of equipment has a very good feature set and seems to work very well. It was easy to get working and the quality of signal so far (first few days of use) has been very good. Should that change I will repost with details.
I bought this for an audio project of mine because of all the things it said it could do. They have not exaggerated. I don't use an iPod, but can play music from my PDA through the jack, while keeping the GPS charged with the mini-usb (it really sucks ... Read More
