I found this product good when i first got it but its easily dented and battery life isnt the best around...the earphones suppiled didnt have a long enough cord for me and you can easily get lost in trying to find a certain song. It does however have good points..its lightweight and the clip on screen bit its handy to put on ur belt or somethin and in my experiance it never skipped....ever.

Good kit ... Great sound quality, but it is a bit awkward to use ... On sound alone I would have given 5 stars, but the supplied headphones are a bit light weight ... literally ... the wires are flimsy and don't hang well ... I have just ordered a pair of Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones so I hope that will improve matters greatly.
Great if you have lots of pockets to bung the HDD, remote and stuff the excess wires into ... not so good with a simple t-shirt.

Bought this to replace my iPod which I was very happy with but so was my wife so now I can never get my hands on it!!!!
I couldn't justify laying out another £200+ for another iPod and I get the feeling that as the iPod prices are falling rapidly now they are about to be replaced. So I was looking for a low cost hard disk player that was a bit less 'girly' than an ipod when I spotted this on Amazon.

Excellent piece of kit! I bought this item from Amazon a month ago and am absolutely delighted. The software is easy to use, the capacity adequate if like me you don't have to have your entire music collection on it (I have loaded 20 albums still plenty space). The device has exercise protection so that you can lock the hard drive and play the last three or four tracks on a continuous loop. So far I have not needed to use this feature. Just to clarify, I found an interesting fact out several years ago, after I had a coversation with an Aiwa official..
Aiwa is 51% owned by Sony, they're the majority shareholders. A bit like Panasonic owning Technics, but not on the same scale.
I have an iAUDIO M3L, simply awesome player compared to anything else on the market. But I love what Aiwa (and maybe partly Sony?!) have done with this beautiful little player.
