I puchased my TuneCast in the US around last Christmas time. It worked fine to start with on a normal radio, but because it only uses AAA batteries, as time went on the signal gets weaker and weaker. I don't like the design either, it doesn't incorporate with an iPod at all.

Rating:  - Nice gadget, pity it's illegal in the UK
5 stars for being a nifty gadget, but only 1 star because you can't legally use it anywhere in the UK (or Europe, Africa, the Middle East or India) as it transmits in licensed spectrum. Amazon ought really to point this out as other on-line retailers do.

I bought the Tunecast II in the US for use in my car with my iPod. I chose it over the iTrip because it had manual controls which I believed would make switching channels easier when driving. Reports on the iTrip suggested that it was sleek but impractical to use on the move....

I bought the Belkin Tunecast II FM transmitter to use with my new Sony Hi-MD player in the car and generally, I am pleased with it.
Firstly, tuning the unit is very simple to do with its large clear display showing the frequency. What makes this unit particularly good is that you can choose any frequency from 88.1-107.9Mhz. The Belkin Tunecast II FM transmitter is an excellent buy. It has a very simple user interface, which allows you to preset up to four stations, which is handy when YOU'RE travelling long distances in the car, as you can retune to a preset station at the click of a button.
I use the tunecast with my jens of sweden mp3 player, and sound quality in the car is near perfect.
Overall a very good, simple to use product.
