This little, keyword little, is excellent.
I got this player about 3-4 months ago and haven't had any trouble with it so far. Although, as previous people have claimed, the battery life is short I have found that if ordinary AAA batteries are used then yes the player sucks the life out of those poor little things but if you use rechargeable ones then the lifetime is so much greater and you dont have o keep buying batteries all the time.

I'd thought I'd give it a while before deciding if this Oracom 256MB MP3 Player was any good or not. I'm glad I did as it was kaput after a week. So this is a bit of a horror story, it has a happy ending though.

Having read reviews of this product in mags and websites I was expecting good things which wasn’t the case.
First problem is the buttons are not tactile enough. Telling the difference between volume and next track buttons without taking it out your pocket is hard, as if finding the stop/off button is even harder.
Second is the sound which is fine in general but makes a hissss when the backlight is on. Also WMA files make a nasty 'click' just before they start to play.

Rating: - What they dont tell you
There is a fault with this product in the ways that it handles the amount of free space available. Currently it offers 256 mb worth of space so one would assume you could fill it with that many files but it crash's and fails to start if too full. I am now trying to contact oracom to find out how to rectify the situation. Possible return is needed due to a faulty product.

As a self-confessed novice in the field of MP3 players, I wanted to make sure I was getting a quality player on a budget! The amount of memory compared to the cost of the player is fantastic - there are many other players on the market that are much more expensive with half the amount of memory!
