Rating: - Good for old laptops
I have a fairly old laptop with only a single USB 1.1 port, which has recently decided to stop working properly, so getting more USB ports was a must for me. All in all I'd have to say that this card has generally worked well for me, but has some important limitations that you should know about first...
So first the Bad:

Rating: - A Great Upgrade for an Old Laptop Computer but.....
I own a 2001 h/p Pavilion laptop (Windows XP Home Edition) that has only two-off in-built USB 1.1 ports. In order to obtain fast data-transfer to a USB external 60 GB hard-drive and also to an 8GB iPod nano, I was keen not only to have an increased number of ports, but also to have at least some USB ports that operated to the spec of USB 2.0.

In the end I tried their UK support number, 0845 607 7787 - you have ... Read More
Rating: - Works Perfectly If Used With Mains Power And New Drivers!
I just received this item and immediately ran into problems with it, but they are easily solved!
I installed the card onto my Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 Laptop using the instructions and CD provided with the notebook card. The first problem i came across was that most devices that are not externally powered such as usb flash drives and floppy disk drives may not work unless you plug in the supplied AC Power lead, without it the card simply did nothing when i plugged in certain BUS powered ... Rating: - Useless
None of my USB items (TV card, memory stick, ADSL modem) are working with this card unless I use the card's mains adaptor : not very practical when using a laptop!
