So far, this has been my fourth MP3 player, which I basically bought just in case my Sony one broke, but when I recieved it I was instantly amazed by the quality, user-friendly software and interface. It has since become the one I carry everywhere, it's so easy to fit in your pocket and looks great.

A cracking piece of kit! It does so much more than the branded products of a similar price (eg. memory size, expandable memory, microphone). Although it cannot hold as much music as an I-pod (about four and a half albums) it holds more than enough for me and is better priced. Since i'm currently at uni I also find it useful to use it as a portable hardrive when I return home for holidays, it save's a lot of space when compared to disks and is easier than burning a cd. Nice gadget, small and lightweight and with good sound quality. Provided earphones are okay too.
I was disappointed by the short battery life (never seem to make those 6 hours) and the slow upload. Mind you it's USB ver. 1.1, not USB 2 !
Think I'm ready for something more beefy .. when is that Sony Hi-MD coming out ?

I bought this MP3 player nearly a year ago and I can definately say that it is one of the best things I have ever bought. When I bought this player I had much reservations about the fact that I had not heard of the company but I can easily say that they have made a sound product that does everything a MP3 player should do. After reading many reviews on Amazon I decided to purchase tha Gemboy MP3 player. Manufactured by a company I have never heard of!
I have had the player for around a month now and have found it to be one of the best purchases I have made!
I noticed that a couple of people mentioned the 'flimsy lid', which I guess is true however when closed it does seem to give some added protection to the player and I comend them on this.
