Rating:  - Drivers didn't work with XP SP2
Manufacturer's drivers (on included CD) installed OK but XP running SP2 listed card as not working (error 10). Tried uninstalling / reinstalling card and drivers but same error. Ended up assigning XP's own USB2.0 drivers and all seems fine now. No great shakes but a bit annoying :-)
Rating:  - No use for iTunes/iPod Video
I bought this adapter to upgrade my Mac G4 1.25GHz desktop in order to to upload songs from iTunes to my 60Gig iPod Video much quicker than the Mac's inbuilt USB 1. As you'd expect, the card is easy to install and it results in much quicker uploads of songs from iTunes to my iPod.

After a few heart stopping moments, windows xp found it and installed it. Found new hardware and other pop-up messages kept appearing several times giving me those palpitations! Two rear screws to remove, slide off left hand side panel, take out one blanking plate, firmly but carefully push into spare pci slot, retain with screw. Rating: - Quick, hassle-free install
This was a really quick, easy install, including the drivers, which were not a problem even on my pretty eldery Win98SE machine. There's one internal USB port included on the card (a Type A socket - not a header), which you could use to connect to a front panel kit: I chose the "Trust 420F 4 PORT USB 2.0 DIRECT ACCESS HUB", also available from Amazon. Not much else to say - it just works!

Having been hugely disappointed when I tried the Belkin USB 2/Firewire PCI card, I thought I'd give this a go (since I don't really need Firwire and I already have a promise of a freebie FiWi card from a mate). I followed the intructions and it worked first time; no messing about with alternative PCI slots, no repeated shutting down and restarting the computer, no frustration or strong language - it simply worked first time and that's all you want.
