Rating:  - Much better headphones than an I Pod
This device feels really well made. The supplied headphones are good quaity and comfortable which means you will enjoy listening. I find I Pod-type phones irritataing and uncomfortable.
This device can be had for a lot less than the current Amazon price and about half the price of an I Pod so, for me, it's a no-brainer!

Overall the Riot is Great, I love the styling, (although many won't). Takes me back the the olds days of the atari lynk (Remember that!!)Its easy to use, with good quality sound. However the software for the PC is terrible! If you have music already stored on your computer and think you can quickly download it to the player, forget it! The sorting and arranging of music files can be a nightmare.

Bought one of these when Apple iPODs were only available for Macs. I travel a fair amount on business and I really liked the idea of being able to take my music collection with me without having to make careful selections before I went away. I spent a year researching which machine to get after first hearing about the Archos product. What I tended to notice was the amount of complaints about all the available products, and I was worried that I would end up with a lemon. I bought the Rio Riot unit about a month ago, and I can honestly say that I have had no trouble. 665 tracks have been loaded on in no time at all, and the quality of all the songs transferred is great. Rating: - Great Hardware, shame about the software and support.
Ok, well you're thinking about spending that amount of money for an MP3 player then it's best to be straight with you. It's a great player, loads of space, nice features and the addition of the radio is a bonus. The new drivers downloaded from the web site make a big difference if you use Windows XP.
Why oh why couldn't they have created a piece of MP3 management software to go with it, instead it's bundled with very outdated version of Real Jukebox. I had real problems getting it recognised ... Read More
